Shahezad Contractor opened the first Cousin's on Poplar Street with a simple idea — a real halal smashburger, no shortcuts, served with the warmth of a family kitchen. Brewerytown showed up. Then the rest of Philly did too.

I was looking for a halal authentic cheesesteak and the world wide web told me to check out Cousins. The ribeye cheesesteak was delicious! Nice and gooey from the cheese (I asked for extra), not over cooked, great flavor. Highly recommend!

Cousin’s Burger is absolutely next-level! Their French fries are out of this world—crispy, flavorful, and totally addictive. They’ve got tons of great options on the menu, from their incredible smash burgers to their mouthwatering cheesesteaks, but today I went big and ordered their largest fries. They were so good I had to go back for round two, and that’s when I ended up meeting the owner. The service was exceptional—genuine, friendly, and above-and-beyond. After hearing how much my family and I love their fries, he surprised me by giving me another extra-large fry for the price of a small. Talk about amazing customer care!
